本周早些时间摩托罗拉总裁曾意外泄漏了，Windows Mobile 7将在2010年上市的消息。实际上一些信息显示，微软正试图赶上手机平台竞争者的脚步。
根据Windows Mobile平台手机制造商从Windows Mobile官方获得的消息，WindowsMobile平台将在今年快速出击，本年度内Windows Mobile 7平台进行测试，2010年4月第一批使用Windows Mobile7的手机即可上市。
WinMobile平台发布时间表如下：
Windows Mobile 6.5 RTM版发布：2009年4月
Windows Mobile 6.5手机上市：2009年9月
Windows Mobile 7测试版发布：2009年11月
Windows Mobile 7手机上市：2010年4月
可以想象，微软在今年下半年将加快Windows Mobile 7平台的开发，同时压缩开发周期。这意味着微软WM 7测试版的测试时间会更短。
